Matsch – rustic, authentic, nestled
At 1,584 m lies Matsch, a small hamlet of the municipality of Mals, secluded in the eponymous Matsch valley. This Vinschgau side valley branches off at Tartsch and winds toward the main Alpine ridge.
Nestled between larch forests, alpine pastures and breathtaking three-thousanders, Matsch has preserved its down-to-earth character. Traditional agriculture, old waals and a strong sense of community shape the valley to this day.
